Welcome to the Town of 1770 & Agnes Water in #Queensland
If you are looking for tranquility, then this is the spot. The town of Seventeen Seventy is named after Captain Cook’s second landing in ... you’ve guessed it, in 1770! The town is more like a settlement of a few houses (the population is below 100) stretched along a bay that offers something most of the East of Australia doesn’t have - sunset over the water.
As sun sets in the west, most Australians living on the east coast of the continent don’t get to experience the epic sunsets over the water. This seems to be always highlighted by our friends living in Western Australia who tell us that the sunsets on the West Coast are a good reason to want to relocate there, just to be able to see them each night.🤷♀️
The town of 1770 is located on a tip of peninsula that curves around a bay so the sun does set here over the bay and creates magnificent sunsets over the water. You can hire kayaks for a different perspective or you can just chill at the beach.
The photos are from the Wave lookout that offers a beautiful view of a beach which is open to the ocean side, so if you prefer a dip with some waves, this is your spot.
