[ DAY 37/365 ]
Hello, salmon pink, didn't see you there... This is the door next to @feralchildvintage
on the Old High Street. It wasn't featured in my photo yesterday - too far down the street - but you can see that the vibrant colours continue all the way to the bottom of the cobbled road.
There are lots of social or political comments whispering from murals, artworks, graffiti and signage in Folkestone but this one by @localforeigner15
is of the prettiest and... Least subtle! Or is it? What does it mean to you?
You can't stand opposite to get a perfect view of it without being caught in the reflection of one of the mirror fragments. Coincidentally, you can see a piece of me in the eye shape.
Is it trying to tell me that it sees me? That trust and corruption is in me? In all of us? Should I trust corruption? Is corruption weightier than trust, sinking to the bottom whilst trust floats to the surface. Is it about the colour pink and all the baggage that that has associated with it? Or, was that always just the colour of the door? What does my interpretation (or lack of) say about my state of mind, as well as that of the creator.
I don't think we're meant to know, and that's half the point. I do think we're supposed to look at this and think about it, though.
