A little throwback...
So the Far Cry Series has been a huge thing for me since Far Cry 2, the first game in the series developed by @ubisoft
Since the 6th entry is officially announced I thought I'd do a re-cap of all the previous games.
So it goes :
Far Cry (4.5/10)
Has never been a game that was a big thing besides its technical supremacy. The rest whatsoever even for the time of release wasn't a gameplay gamechanger.
Far Cry 2 (10/10)
Probably the grittiest game in the series and also the first developed by Ubisoft. Everything is perfect and I really hope that 6 is going back to these roots.
Far Cry 3 (10/10)
The Magnum Opus of Ubisoft Revolutionising the PS3 era. This game was just a huge deal from an interesting concept to the superb execution of everything. Vaas is Ubisofts Magnum Opus.
Far Cry Blood Dragon (7.5/10)
Fun self ironic game.
Far Cry 4 (8.5/10)
Surely not as good as the two main predecessors but a very good try to compensate both games into one. I loved Pagan Min, they did a great job moving forward from Vaas and not copy pasting it.
Far Cry Primal (5/10)
Great Concept, maybe not for Far Cry.
Far Cry 5 (8/10)
Besides some gameplay issues I loved the direction they took with it.
Far Cry New Dawn (7/10)
After 5s ending we all hoped for something like this and with Fallout 76 being a total misstep this was the time to shine and for what it was it didn't disappoint.
My view on Far Cry 6 :
If the writing is done right, Anton can be their best antagonist yet. If they combine the guerilla elements of the 2-5 games and the scale updates and new mechanics they could easily go for a HUGE map with a lot to do without limiting their storytelling abilities. I want this to be a Far Cry 2 mix 4 Story and Gameplay mechanics of 2,3 and 5. It's gonna be awesome.
